We love receiving photos of all your medals and each month our favourite will earn a free Medal Display and be featured in our Athlete Spotlight!
This month we feature multi-talented 14 year old, Courtney Lewis!
Courtney is legally blind and found her passion for athletics when she participated in a Paralympic Talent Search at the age of 10.
It is Courtney's determination, belief and desire to just go out and have fun despite her challenges that has resulted in her accomplishing so many achievements already.
Representing South Australia at the National SAPSASA Athletics Championships for the last 3 years, she has won a huge haul of gold, silver and bronze medals.
Her upper core strength comes from her 6 years of Calisthenics, where she won numerous awards in both team and solo competitions.
In the past year, Courtney's achievements include Female Para-Athlete Champion at her local club, Female Champion of Eye Play Sport, breaking the u16/18 records for her classification in Shot Put and Javelin as well as the u16/18/20 record in Discus!
Training hard with her personal coach, Cathy Lambert, Courtney's dream is to compete at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics and we have no doubt that she's going to be there making Australia proud!
Our mission is to help celebrate wins and inspire many more, by hanging medals properly.
Keep posting photos of your Medal Displays to our Facebook page or tag @MedalDisplays on Instagram for your chance to be featured and earn yourself a free Medal Display!
Plus, you never know who you might inspire!
We're super excited about this as we know that behind every collection of medals is an awesome story!
