We are always on a quest for amazing Medal Displays and the stories behind each medal.

This month we are lucky to have come across another inspiring runner, Sharee George, who has graciously shared her running journey with us and photos of her inspiring Medal Display which is truly one of our favorites.

Over to you Sharee.

"I simply LOVE to run and much prefer to run on Trails.

I live locally to the Mt Dandenong's, home of DTR - Dandenong Trail Runners!

I'm an active member of this amazing group of runners and it is through this supportive group that I have become a much more confident and stronger runner especially across the longer distance and the more technical trail.

I have achieved many distances ranging from my first 4km fun run right through to my recent podium at the Brimbank Ultra 50km.

I have grown to thrive on the longer trail events, these are the ones that challenge me most.

They take me completely out of my comfort zone but feel so amazing once they are achieved.

I love to train super early in the morning, to me its the best part of the day and I also love to run the trails throughout the winter weather.

There is nothing quite like the crisp fresh air.

Running has taken me to some of the most beautiful places and has given me such respect for myself, for others and my surroundings.

It's hard to pick my favourite race.

Some of my best achievements have been my first Marathon podium at Brimbank in 2017, running my first Ultra 50k at the Surf Coast Century, Two Bays Trail Runs, Maroondah Dam, Mt Macedon, The Wonderland Run, 3 Consecutive Melbourne Marathons, 6 consecutive 21k Run Melbourne events, 4 Roller Coaster Runs and recently completing the 21k Cathederal Challenge in Buxton which was BRUTAL.

If I have any words of advice to others it is to find a running buddy & be consistent!

My best running buddy is Lisa and it's awesome to share your goals and dreams with someone just like you!"

Huge thanks go to Sharee for sharing her story with us. We were lucky enough to meet her at this years Rollercoaster Run and she was ridiculously composed for having just tackled that beast of a run!
