This month we shine our spotlight to Marathon Runner Niall O’Rourke who truly lives up to his Medal Displays motto - Fear No Distance. His display caught our attention all thanks to Nadine, Niall’s girlfriend, who has brilliantly put together and shared a photo of the display, making it one of the best we’ve seen.
Niall tells us how his running journey began a few years back, over to you Niall.
"After many years of zero exercise I decided to change things up with my life so I signed up for a marathon.
Along that journey I raised a lot of money for cancer research back home in Ireland.
Turns out that 1 marathon weren’t enough so I found myself doing 5 full marathons and I cannot keep track of how many half marathons I completed in the last 8+ years.
After old age kicked in, it was time to find a new challenge to keep myself going, so I carried on to long distance open water swimming then.
After years of having finisher medals thrown in a top drawer my girlfriend discovered medal displays and now I have the big ones proudly displayed for everyone to see."
