Today we feature another woman of strength who, undeterred by her current physical condition, steps outside of her comfort zone to achieve awesomeness!
As a mother, Natalie Miller, has truly shown her kids and the world that nothing is impossible if you give 100% and put everything into it.
Here is Natalie’s inspiring fitness journey.
“I decided to take up karate two years ago with my hubby. Our kids were already training and competing there, so we decided to jump on board as well.
Karate has been a challenge both mentally and physically, not only because I am severely overweight but because I have an autoimmune disease called Hashimotos.
Each week I attend classes, my body aches due to my condition but I keep trying as hard as I can to improve my kata and my techniques.
As a personal challenge to myself, and as a way to show my kids that you need to step out of your comfort zone every now and again, I decided to enter karate competitions.
At 48 years of age, there aren’t many competitors, but the challenge of walking out on the tatami and competing is the challenge itself.
My medals serve as a reminder that I can achieve anything I set my mind to, even if my body doesn’t always want to play along. The motto at the top of the display really drives it home - Dream, Believe, Achieve. “
Our mission is to help celebrate wins and inspire many more, by hanging medals properly.
