This month's winner, Leandre McMillan, has all that and more! 

Here is Leandre's story...

“My name is Leandre and I am a 38 year old wife, mother and part time worker. I have always loved being sporty and active however over the years I was getting heavier and less active.

In June 2020, I found myself down with how unhealthy and heavy I had become. I had seen several virtual marathons advertised on social media but never signed up for any as motivation was lacking.

In September the same year, my friend Jenna inspired me to take the plunge and sign up for my first virtual marathon, ‘The Ring of Kerry’ which was 200Km. I was overjoyed when I completed this marathon and my first medal arrived in the mail. The medal truly was stunning and I was super proud of my achievement.

I didn’t want this medal just sitting in a draw collecting dust. I wanted to be able to see it daily to inspire me further. It was then I remembered that we had purchased medal displays from Medaldisplays.com.au for both of our children for their medals.

I jumped on the website and fell in love with the wooden honeycomb medal display. I knew it was exactly what I needed. When it arrived, I could not wait to display my hard-earned medal. It was perfect.

I have now completed a total of 8 virtual marathons (waiting for the last 2 medals to arrive) with the longest being 503kms and lost over 36kgs in the process.
